  2. IT services by industry
IT services by industry

Your regulator, your systems, and your operating rhythm decide what good IT looks like. We deliver it sector-tuned.

A law firm protecting privileged documents, a clinic submitting to NABIDH, a warehouse clearing customs before a vessel cutoff, and a school answering to KHDA do not need the same IT service. This page maps every industry we hold a dedicated page for, across all four service shapes: IT support, managed IT, annual maintenance contracts, and cybersecurity. Find your sector below and go straight to the page written for it.

What actually changes by industry

Six things your sector decides before any contract is signed.

The service catalogue looks similar from the outside: helpdesk, devices, network, Microsoft 365, security. What changes underneath is driven by the industry, and it changes enough that scoping by headcount alone produces the wrong service.

Who regulates you, and what they expect to see

DHA and NABIDH for healthcare. DFSA for DIFC firms, FSRA for ADGM entities. KHDA for Dubai schools. RERA and DLD for real estate. PCI-DSS wherever cards are taken. The regulator shapes the security baseline and the evidence you must keep. IT scoped without asking this question fails its first audit.

The line-of-business systems that cannot go down

An EMR and PACS in a clinic. A PMS like Opera in a hotel. iManage-class document management in a law firm. WMS and customs platforms in logistics. MES and SCADA on a plant floor. Where an outage stops revenue or care, you need engineers who have supported that class of system before, not a generalist reading vendor documentation mid-incident.

Your operating rhythm, which the SLA must follow

A hotel peaks at check-in and never closes. A clinic peaks during morning OPD. A retailer peaks on promotional weekends. A trading desk lives inside market hours, and a freight forwarder lives against vessel and flight cutoffs. The same priority matrix lands very differently depending on when your business actually breaks, so coverage windows and escalation are tuned per sector.

The sensitivity of the data you hold

Patient records, privileged legal correspondence, cardholder data, student records, and investor information each carry their own protection duties on top of UAE PDPL. The industry decides which controls are mandatory rather than recommended, and which incidents must be reported rather than quietly fixed.

The vocabulary your staff use when something breaks

A front-desk agent reports a folio problem, a nurse reports an order-entry screen, a paralegal reports a matter workspace. Support is faster and less error-prone when the engineer understands the request in the language it arrives in, instead of translating it through twenty clarifying questions.

Who else asks you for evidence

Beyond the regulator: banks running due diligence, insurers pricing cyber cover, enterprise customers running supplier assessments, and auditors at year end. Which of these applies, and how often, varies sharply by sector, and it determines how much documentation your IT service must produce as a standing deliverable.

Industries we serve

Find your industry.

Every industry page we hold, grouped by sector. Where an industry has more than one page, each covers a different service shape: general IT services, managed IT, or an annual maintenance contract. Pick the page that matches the contract you are considering; the FAQ below explains the difference if you are not sure.

Why sector-tuned delivery

Four reasons an industry-aware provider beats a generic one.

One provider across all four service shapes

Support, managed IT, AMC, and cybersecurity from a single team means your industry context is learned once and applied everywhere. The engineer who knows your PMS or your EMR is the same one answering the helpdesk ticket, running the patch cycle, and preparing the audit evidence, instead of three vendors each holding a third of the picture.

Faster resolution on the systems that matter

Most of an incident on a line-of-business system is not the fix, it is the diagnosis. An engineer who has seen your class of system fail before goes straight to the likely cause instead of learning your environment on your downtime. That difference is largest exactly when the stakes are highest.

Compliance built into the baseline, not bolted on

When the security baseline is aligned to your sector from day one, an audit, a bank review, or a regulator query becomes an export of existing evidence rather than a remediation project with a deadline attached. Retrofitting compliance onto a generic setup costs more and lands under pressure.

Reporting in your language, not ours

A monthly report that speaks in ticket counts alone tells an operations director very little. Industry-aware reporting ties IT performance to what your business measures: system uptime through your peak windows, incidents on your critical platforms, and the compliance posture the next review will ask about.

Regulator, core systems, and compliance focus, sector by sector.

This is the shorthand version of the question we work through in every scoping call. It is indicative, not exhaustive: your licence, your clients, and your contracts can add obligations this table does not show.

Which service shape fits

Four contract shapes, available in every industry.

Every industry above can be served through any of these four shapes, alone or combined. If you are unsure which applies, start with the industry page and the scoping call will settle it.

IT support

Responsive help when things break, remote-first with on-site attendance across Dubai. The right shape when you have some internal capability or want coverage without a full outsourced operation.

Managed IT services

Your entire IT operation run for you: monitoring, maintenance, helpdesk, security, and vendor management under one agreement. The right shape when you want IT off your desk entirely.

IT AMC

An annual maintenance contract covering hardware, network, Microsoft 365, and a security baseline at a fixed scope. The right shape when you want predictable, contract-backed upkeep. See the AMC industry hub for track detail.

Cybersecurity

Audits, compliance alignment, and managed security controls, standalone or layered onto any of the other three shapes. The right shape when a regulator, bank, insurer, or customer is asking for evidence.

No dedicated page yet

Industries we serve without a dedicated page, so far.

A dedicated page exists only where we can write something genuinely sector-specific. These industries are fully served under our standard IT support, managed IT, AMC, and cybersecurity services today, and several are candidates for their own page as the playbook deepens. If yours is here, the scoping conversation is identical: we start from your systems, your obligations, and your operating rhythm.
  • Media and production

Large files, rendering workloads, and freelancer access patterns.

  • Automotive

Dealer management systems, workshop networks, and showroom IT.

  • Marine

Vessel connectivity, port-side operations, and agency workflows.

  • Oil and gas

Field connectivity and strict corporate security policy alignment.

  • Non-profit

Donor data stewardship and lean, cost-conscious IT operations.

  • Professional services

Consultancies, accountancies, and agencies built on Microsoft 365.

How an engagement starts

From industry walkthrough to a scoped service in four steps.

  1. 1

    Sector walkthrough

    Step 1

A conversation, and where useful a site visit, that maps your regulator, your line-of-business systems, your operating hours and peaks, and who asks you for evidence. This shapes the service more than headcount does.

  2. 2

    Service shape and scope

    Step 2

We recommend the contract shape that fits: support, managed IT, AMC, security, or a combination. You get a written scope stating what is covered, the SLA per priority, and the escalation path.

  3. 3

    Onboarding and baseline

    Step 3

Documentation capture, monitoring deployment, and the security baseline aligned to your sector. Industry-relevant runbooks are loaded before the first incident, not written during it.

  4. 4

    Steady state with industry-aware reporting

    Step 4

Live service desk, proactive maintenance, and reporting tied to the systems and windows your business actually depends on, reviewed with you on a regular cadence.

Industry IT FAQ

What buyers ask when choosing by industry.

Both, and in practice neither alone. A developer with a hospitality arm or a retailer with its own logistics operation is common in the UAE, and we scope these as one agreement with per-division context rather than forcing everything into one industry template. Read the page for whichever division has the strictest obligations, since that usually anchors the security baseline, then bring both to the scoping call. One contract, one service desk, each division served in its own context.

Yes. The table above shows the regulators that most commonly shape IT scope; it is not the boundary of what we support. If you answer to a free zone authority, a federal ministry, a parent-company standard, or a contractual regime from an enterprise customer, the process is the same: we read what your obligations actually say, map them to technical controls and evidence, and build them into the baseline. Where interpretation is genuinely a legal question, we say so and work alongside your advisors rather than guessing.

No, and we would not want them. Our engineers work across sectors, which is a strength: the discipline learned running a 24/7 hotel estate improves how we run a clinic, and the segmentation rigour from PCI-DSS retail work improves network design for every other sector we serve. What the industry pages reflect is accumulated playbook depth: runbooks, vocabulary, and system familiarity per sector, carried by the whole team rather than siloed in a dedicated unit that becomes a single point of failure.

Scope. This page covers every service shape we deliver by industry: IT support, managed IT, AMC, and cybersecurity. The AMC hub at /it-amc-by-industry/ goes deep on one shape only, the annual maintenance contract, and compares its industry tracks side by side. If you already know you want an AMC, start there. If you are still deciding what shape of service you need, or you need something other than an AMC, start here.

No. The dedicated pages exist where we can write something genuinely sector-specific, because a page that just swaps an industry name into a template helps nobody. Every business gets the same scoping discipline: your systems, your obligations, your operating rhythm, then a written scope. The list above of industries without a page yet, from media to professional services, is served under the same contracts and the same SLA as everyone else.

Not materially, and the operational return runs the other way. The cost of an engineer learning your environment during an outage, or of retrofitting compliance after a failed review, dwarfs any difference in contract pricing. All pricing is quoted per engagement after scoping, because two companies in the same industry can still need very different services.

Three visible differences. First, triage: an incident on a line-of-business system is recognised for what it is and prioritised accordingly, rather than sitting in a queue behind password resets. Second, conversation: staff describe problems in their own vocabulary and the engineer understands the request the first time. Third, prevention: maintenance windows, patch schedules, and change freezes are planned around your operating peaks, so routine work stops causing unroutine problems.

Start from how much of IT you want to keep. If you have internal capability and need reinforcement, read the IT support page for your industry. If you want the whole operation run for you, read the managed IT page. If you want contract-backed upkeep of a defined estate at a fixed scope, read the AMC page. Where an industry currently has one page, that page covers the widest view for the sector, and the scoping call shapes the contract to whichever model fits.

Yes, and it is often where we add the most value. PMS, EMR, POS, WMS, ERP, and practice management vendors each have their own support channels, and incidents regularly sit in the gap between the application vendor and the infrastructure. We coordinate the vendor, own the infrastructure side, and stay on the incident until it is resolved end to end, so your staff are never relaying messages between two suppliers who are each pointing at the other.

Yes, this is routine work. Transitions run in parallel for a defined handover window: we capture documentation, take over monitoring, and shadow live tickets before the switch, so there is no day when nobody is responsible. If your current provider holds administrator access to your systems or your Microsoft tenant, recovering that cleanly is part of the transition.
