What an AMC covers

Nine disciplines, one monthly invoice.

You stop tracking call-outs and incident invoices. We track everything for you and report monthly: what we touched, what we replaced, what we are watching.

Hardware coverage

Servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. We pre-image, deploy, repair, and replace. Brand-agnostic. Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, all covered.

Network & WiFi

Routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless. Configuration, continuous monitoring, remote rebuild when something fails.

Microsoft 365 administration

Tenant operations, user lifecycle, security baselines, folded into your AMC. No separate vendor for cloud and on-prem.

Cybersecurity baseline

Endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, patch management, threat-detection tuning. Quarterly review of what is escalating in your environment.

Remote support, 24/7

Same-day scheduled reviews across Dubai. Remote troubleshooting around the clock. Phone, ticket, or chat. Your team picks the channel.

Preventive maintenance

Scheduled health checks, firmware updates, backup verification, quarterly compliance reviews. Most issues fixed before anyone notices.

Asset register & lifecycle

Every laptop, server, switch, and license tracked in your asset register. Procurement support, end-of-warranty alerts, refresh planning.

Reporting & reviews

Monthly tickets, response times, asset health, and incidents recapped in writing. Quarterly executive briefing for Standard and Enterprise tiers.

Vendor management

We coordinate with your ISP, telephony provider, and equipment OEMs so you do not run a vendor war room every time something breaks.

The foundation

Why the asset register is the heart of a good AMC.

Every promise in an AMC depends on one artefact: an accurate, current asset register. Response SLAs assume we know what the failing device is before we arrive. Spare-parts stocking assumes we know which models you run. Refresh planning assumes we know what is ageing. Warranty claims assume we know what is still covered. When a provider skips the register, every one of those promises degrades into guesswork, and you find out during an outage. Ours is built during onboarding, updated with every ticket and every procurement, and reviewed with you at every quarterly review. It is your document, not ours: if you ever leave, it leaves with you.

  • Every ticket resolves against a tagged asset, so recurring faults surface as patterns, not anecdotes
  • Warranty and end-of-life dates drive replacement before failure, not after it
  • Finance gets a defensible inventory for insurance, audits, and budgeting from the same source
  • Exit-ready by design: the register is part of your handover pack, never held back
Why GR IT

Four reasons clients pick us over the alternative.

Concrete operational facts, the kind that show up when you ask for references.

Dubai-based engineers

30+ engineers across the emirate. 45-minute response radius from any client address. We do not subcontract hands-on work.

Brand-agnostic coverage

Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos. We service the gear you have, not just brands we resell.

Written SLAs, monthly reports

Every SLA target is measured. Every miss is documented. The contract works for you, not for us.

150+ active contracts

Pattern recognition from four years of AMC operations. We have already debugged the issue you are about to file.

Industries we cover

AMC profiles by sector.

Six common shapes. Tier and scope vary, but the operational discipline is the same.

SME offices

10-50 user offices: laptops, networking, Microsoft 365, basic security baseline. Our most common AMC profile and where Standard tier shines.

Retail & F&B

POS systems, kitchen displays, customer WiFi, payment terminals. Specialist support for weekend incidents when revenue is at stake.

Professional services

Law firms, accounting practices, consultancies. Information barriers, document management, secure remote access for client sites.

Healthcare clinics

Clinics and small hospitals. PACS connectivity, patient-record DLP, regulatory documentation alongside hardware support.

Schools & training

Classrooms, labs, staff offices, parent portals. Student device fleets via Intune, content filtering, exam-mode lockdown.

Real estate & property

Sales offices, building management systems, project hubs. Mobile-friendly setups for field teams and showroom turnover.

Beyond support

Leased hardware and monthly reports, included in scope.

AMC is not just reactive ticket cover. The Standard and Enterprise tiers include leased infrastructure where you need it, and monthly reports that turn IT spend into a reviewable line item, not a black box.

Leased hardware and software

  • NAS for backup
Right-sized network-attached storage for daily and weekly backup retention.
  • Hardware firewall
Edge firewall sized to your link, configured and tuned by our network team.
  • Backup software
Licensed backup software with off-site replication and immutable retention.
  • Application optimisation
Performance tuning for line-of-business applications, not generic templates.

Comprehensive monthly reports

  • Ticket summary
Volumes by priority, response times against SLA, root-cause themes.
  • IT assets inventory
Every device tracked, warranty status, end-of-life flags, refresh recommendations.
  • Backup history and patch management
Backup success rates, patch compliance, exceptions and corrective actions.
  • Remote assistance and antivirus logs
Session count, malware events, threat-detection trends.
Equipment coverage

What an AMC actually covers, by equipment category.

Read across each row to see how an Annual Maintenance Contract handles preventive maintenance, break-fix work, spare-parts cover, and the response SLA for that equipment category. Brand-agnostic across Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, Cisco, Fortinet, and others.

Scope, honestly

What the AMC covers and what sits outside it, by asset class.

The honest scope conversation, held before you sign rather than at invoice time. Everything in the covered column sits inside the monthly fee for that asset class. Everything in the right-hand column is an insurance matter, a vendor subscription, or a scoped project we quote in writing before touching. If a provider cannot show you this table for their own contract, ask why.

Response SLA

What "we are on it" actually means, in minutes.

Three priority tiers. Each ticket gets classified at intake so you always know which clock is running. Response is the time to first engineer action, not auto-acknowledgment.

How it works

From first visit to first invoice in two weeks.

No long sales cycle. We come on site, document the environment, send a written proposal, then transition you in.
  1. 1

    Audit

    1 day

Site visit. We catalog every device, document network topology, identify single points of failure. Output: an asset register you keep regardless.

  2. 2

    Proposal

    2-3 days

Tier recommendation, contract scope, response SLAs, monthly visit schedule. Written and priced before you sign anything.

  3. 3

    Onboarding

    1-2 weeks

Asset tagging, monitoring agents deployed, runbooks built, escalation paths defined. We know your environment as well as you do by the end of week two.

  4. 4

    Operations

    Ongoing

Tickets, scheduled visits, monthly reports, quarterly reviews. The day-to-day of the contract. SLAs measured and reported, never quietly missed.

Onboarding

The AMC onboarding checklist: what happens in your first 30 days.

Onboarding is where an AMC succeeds or quietly fails. These are the actual line items our transition team works through in the first 30 days of every new contract, in the order they happen. Ask any provider you are evaluating for their equivalent list; if they do not have one, that tells you something.

Days 1-7: capture everything

  • Kick-off meeting
Named contacts on both sides, escalation paths, preferred support channels, and the visit calendar agreed before any tooling is touched.
  • Full asset discovery
Every device on the network is scanned and physically walked: serials, warranty status, OS versions, and assigned users all recorded.
  • Asset tagging
Physical tags on hardware, matching entries in the register. From this point every ticket references a tagged asset, not "the printer near reception".
  • Credential handover and vaulting
Admin accounts, licence portals, ISP and vendor logins collected, verified, and moved into an encrypted vault with access logging.
  • Network documentation
Topology mapped, IP schema documented, firewall rules exported and reviewed for anything nobody can explain.

Days 8-21: instrument and document

  • Monitoring agents deployed
Endpoints, servers, and network gear enrolled so failures page us before your staff notice them.
  • Patch baseline established
Current patch position measured per device, and a catch-up plan for the stragglers agreed with you before anything reboots.
  • Backup verification
Existing backups are test-restored, not just eyeballed. Gaps in coverage or retention are flagged in writing.
  • Security baseline applied
MFA enforcement, endpoint protection status, and admin-account hygiene checked against our baseline, with exceptions documented.
  • Runbooks written
Site-specific procedures for your recurring operations: onboarding a new starter, swapping a POS terminal, restoring a shared mailbox.

Days 22-30: prove it works

  • Escalation test
A controlled incident simulation to confirm alerts fire, the right people are paged, and the SLA clock is being measured honestly.
  • First scheduled visit completed
The preventive-maintenance routine runs end to end on site, and anything discovery missed gets added to the register.
  • First report issued
Your first written report covers what onboarding found, what was fixed on arrival, and what is on watch for the next quarter.
  • Sign-off review
A short session to close onboarding: open items assigned with owners and dates, and the steady-state cadence confirmed.
“Our office grew from 12 to 40 staff in two years. Break-fix invoices doubled twice. We moved to AMC with GR IT and the cost has been flat for nine months, even after we added a server and a second branch.”

Why UAE clients pick GR for AMC

Three reasons the renewal rate is what it is.

Equipment care, proactive maintenance, and coverage breadth. The detail behind each card is the part that shows up when you ask for references.

Comprehensive equipment care

Every device under contract gets the same care, from the CFO's laptop to the warehouse scanner. Brand-agnostic, no carve-outs, no "that is out of scope" surprises.

  • Brand-agnostic across Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, Cisco, Fortinet
  • 30+ engineers with hands-on hardware experience
  • Spare parts stocked for the most common configurations
  • Asset register kept current month-on-month

Proactive maintenance

Quarterly health checks, firmware updates, backup verification, and capacity reviews catch most issues before they become incidents. The fewer tickets you file, the better we are doing.

  • Scheduled health checks on every device class
  • Firmware and OS patching on a documented cadence
  • Backup verification, not just backup execution
  • Capacity and performance reviews ahead of pinch points

Comprehensive coverage

150+ active AMC contracts. Four years of UAE-specific operations. The coverage breadth means we have already debugged the issue you are about to file.

  • 150+ active AMC contracts under management
  • 99.9% uptime across the active client base
  • 24/7 coverage on Standard and Enterprise tiers
  • P1 5min, P2 10min, P3 30min, P4 45min response SLA

Common questions

IT AMC, frequently asked.

An IT AMC is an agreement to maintain specified business equipment and provide defined support over a contract term. It should identify covered assets, preventive tasks, service hours, response targets and exclusions. The name alone does not establish which repairs, visits or replacement parts are included.

Break-fix support addresses an issue when you request help. An AMC adds agreed maintenance responsibilities and continuing support coverage for listed equipment. Compare the actual preventive work and contract commitments rather than assuming every AMC includes full IT operations.

A comprehensive AMC may include specified replacement parts as well as labour. A non-comprehensive AMC generally treats parts separately. The signed asset schedule and exclusions determine the real coverage, including consumables, manufacturer warranties and end-of-life equipment.

Yes, subject to an equipment and supportability review. Share the model, age, warranty status and location of the assets. Manufacturer warranty repairs and third-party service obligations need to be identified so responsibilities are clear before coverage begins.

They can be included in the agreed coverage. Routine diagnosis may be remote, while physical work needs an attendance or supplier arrangement. Confirm included visits, service locations, support hours and any separate call-out conditions in the proposal.

An SLA defines how incidents are prioritised and the targets that apply during covered hours. A response target is different from a guaranteed repair time. Review escalation, supplier dependencies and reporting alongside the headline response figures.

Yes, through an agreed scope change. New or excluded equipment should be recorded in the asset schedule with its coverage start or end date. Any effect on support responsibilities or the contract quote should be confirmed before the change takes effect.

The engineer first checks the fault, warranty and contract coverage. Parts or work outside the agreement should be quoted for approval before proceeding. Do not assume loan devices, all spare parts or major upgrades are included unless the proposal says so.

A useful review records completed preventive work, recurring incidents, unresolved risks and equipment approaching the end of vendor support. It should identify recommended actions and owners. Agree the reporting frequency and required evidence when setting the AMC scope.

An agreement can cover multiple locations where delivery arrangements are confirmed. List every office, its equipment and operating hours so remote support, attendance and supplier responsibilities can be scoped for each site.

Review the asset list, support demand, exclusions and notice terms before renewal. If you change providers, agree the handover of service records, documentation and authorised access. Exit conditions come from the signed contract, not a general website statement.

Provide office locations, user counts, an equipment list, warranty details and required support hours. Include recurring problems and any need for replacement parts or site visits. We use these inputs to propose coverage and exclusions.
